GlobalOptions Introduces Rapid-Data Investigation Services Through Its GlobalTrak(TM) Risk Management System

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 17, 2009-- GlobalOptions Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLOI), a leading provider of domestic and international risk management services, today announced the launch of its new service offering: comprehensive in-depth investigative searches through national databases and information providers that supply identification of subjects or companies, and verification of relevant public information, including identity information, location verification and validation and identification of potential underlying business risks via its proprietary GlobalTrak™ Risk Management System. The new product is offered through a recently established partnership with Lexis-Nexis, a leading information database provider, and will provide GlobalOptions’ clients real-time data searches that will aid in insurance fraud investigation, risk mitigation and management, and background research. GlobalTrak is GlobalOptions’ online enterprise risk mitigation and management solution for customers investigating fraud and potential fraud, including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, legal firms, public entities and Fortune 500 companies.

“This is a significant new service that we are offering our clients, as it provides them access to real-time data through our proprietary GlobalTrak system that will speed their time to investigate claims and streamline their research process,” said Franklin Pinder, President of GlobalOptions’ Fraud & SIU division. “With this new service, GlobalOptions is changing the way our customers investigate fraud. Investigations that may have taken some customers weeks of work can now be completed in days for a fraction of the cost.”

Among the information that GlobalOptions’ new rapid data product will offer clients in real time are personal identity data residential verification, current and past property owned, outstanding debts, federal registries, local licenses, as well as any legal actions taken against claimants. In addition, while not immediately available at the time of launch, the product will also eventually allow customers to conduct in-depth media searches and other types of data recall that will allow rapid processing of insurance claims, and faster completion of fraud investigations. The company will package all of the information available to customers through four different reports, each with incrementally higher levels of detail.

In addition, GlobalTrak continues to offer its full suite of risk management tools, including evidence processing and management and audio and video surveillance file management. It also provides client companies with contacts and status reports in real time, allowing more efficient internal management of assignments, evidence, and reporting.
